Who We Are

THE BELMOND MEDICAL CENTER AUXILIARY

The Belmond Medical Center Auxiliary meets the second Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the hospital conference room. Membership is open to any person interested in promoting and improving the services of the Belmond Medical Center through contributions of time, talents and money.

Our Auxiliary helps with many activities for BMC such as: Open House, serve as receptionist for outpatient clinics, decorating waiting rooms during the holidays, helping with successful blood drives, Bridge and 500 Marathons, & soup luncheons.

Some of the following items have been purchased by the Auxiliary:

Pulse Oximeter
Stryker big-wheel table for use in the E.R.
5 exam tables for use in the clinic
2 vacuum cleaners
2 otoscopes
2 ophthalma scopes
DCA-2000 machine in lab to do glycohemoglobins
10 patient room telephones
Loveseat and recliner for the family lounge area
Vertical blinds for windows throughout the hospital
Vision Screener
X-ray copy machine
Suction machine

The Auxiliary's generous contributions have helped with improvements to BMC's such as interior renovation of the Laboratory.

The Auxiliary generates funds from membership dues, but also raise money through special events and other various projects such as: salad-card luncheons, bakeless bake sales.

The Auxiliary also has fund raisers to provide scholarships for those individuals interested in entering the healthcare field.
